Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and
humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
James 4:6-8, 10
6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the
proud but gives grace to the humble." 7 Submit yourselves, then, to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come
near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you
double-minded. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and
seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and
will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
